RACE NOTES

  • Runners will be divided into groups. If you already have a group, please register together. (Group size no larger than 10 at a time).
  • Not all groups will start at 11am.
    • You will be released as a group in 5 minute intervals to ensure every participant group has a safe experience.
    • Your start time will be dictated by the number of runners registered.

Course Description:

2ND ANNUAL FIREMAN’S MUD RUN 5K 2019

ALL PROCEEDS BENEFIT DISTANT AREA VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT. All ages welcome to challenge yourself and have fun while doing it. A muddy experience for all who participate. It will be a rough, forest floor course this year. A new venue along the Truittsburg Road near Hawthorn, PA. Ground use was graciously donated by Lana Smith.

The race will take place on WOODED TRAILS, grass areas, ROCKY trails. Participants will experience, mud pits, balance challenges, hills, holes, climbing, crawling, carrying, dragging, water, dirt, and mud. Participants must follow FLAGGED course markings. Course will have challenges/obstacles is partly flat with some hills and rugged terrain in the wooded sections.. Wear old clothes & shoes. Bring some towels, and a change of clothes. Fire hose cold shower provided.

RACE AID

  • EMT's will be at the course in multiple locations.

  • Stations of fireman throughout the course.

  • Paramedics are on standby.

  • Fruit, snacks, & water will be furnished.
  • SPECTATORS

  • Spectators are FREE to attend the event! Come and enjoy!
  • PARKING

  • Free parking! A boot drive donation is encouraged.
  • AFTER PARTY

  • After party DJ entertainment, a complete festival of events all day long, craft vendors, car show, fire truck show, food vendors, business vendors, inflatable carnival, kids firefighters camp), fireman's games, band entertainment, and so much more.
