Course Description:
The Night of the Dead 5K is a haunted obstacle/mud run. We are pleased to bring this event back bigger and better than it was in 2018. As this will be a night run, our waves will start at 8 p.m. and go out every 15 minutes until our final wave at 8:45 p.m. Our obstacles will be lit in a variety of ways, and we will have special effect lighting along with music throughout the various sections of the course. Once October comes, the woods transform into a scary, ghostly, eerie place. Once you enter there is no turning back. The unnatural sounds are enough to keep you running. As you near the banks of the river beware of the Black Swamp creatures, but UNLIKE a Zombie run there will be NO ONE CHASING you. You won’t need chasing as there will be plenty of activity to scare you. Once again we want you to enjoy all that the course has to offer, take your time we will will not be timing this event.
Registration and Packet Pick-Up:
7:00PM
- Located in the white barn between the parking area and the starting line.
Be sure to bring a Valid Photo ID to registration. No ID. No RUN!
BAG CHECK
We will have a bag check ($5 cash only). It will be located in or near the registration barn.
SPECTATORS
FREE. The Black Swamp Runner Course is very spectator friendly. A lot of obstacles can be seen from the grandstands and several obstacles are located within a short walk. We encourage family and friends take pictures to capture that special moment.
PARKING
$10. On-site parking available. It is very close to the registration barn and the start/finish line.
AFTER PARTY
There will be live music, food and drinks.

Black Swamp 3-Sum

The Black Swamp 3-Sum is a package deal.
All 3 of our unique runs for one low price. When you register for the 3-sum you receive: one entry for the Black Swamp Dash (includes the multi-lap option), one entry for the Moonlight mud run, and one entry for the Night of the Dead run.
You also will receive an additional custom Black Swamp 3-Sum shirt.
(The shirts will be given out at the Night of the Dead Run).
Participants must be registered at least 11 days before the event to get a race jersey.
RACE AID
We have several wash off hoses for your convenience. Please be respectful of others while washing off.
We will have two changing tents near the wash off racks.
